It's this weekend only March 23-25, ending Sunday at midnight (your time zone -yay!) How does 50% off sound? Spread the word and let it be known!  All you need to do is follow these easy steps:

Decorating with Ebroidered Wall Art

Some people may think of embroidery as "old lady art" to keep fingers and joints nimble. They are so wrong! It's quite a beautiful art form that I am currently enamored with. It does take skill - even when you have a pattern guide. I embroider the faces on my dolls and let me tell ya' it is not simple. It is but it isn't. I love the embroidered wall art especially, at the moment. There are tons of great patterns and embroidery art out there. I recently saw this one above in the pictures of an estate sale. All I saw was this folded on top of a dresser. Even though it was folded, I knew it beheld awesomeness and I told my husband " See that? Go there and get it for me!" And being so kind and doting, he did. Now...where to put it....

So here are a few ones I currently love and would love to possess if possible.

Pretty Girl in Window by luckyjackson

I love this style...very intriguing!

smiths please please please... cross-stitched by chezsucrechez

I love the Smiths so naturally I had to include this even though it is cross-stitch.

Red Fox Vulpes Vulpes Embroidery by Naiomicayne

I love foxes. Nuff said.

Its always nice to be featured!

I really love the Craftopolis Treasure Hunt feature - you just type in your shop name and see what treasuries you were included in. I'm happy to be featured in a few...

OH MAN!
SUGAR LOVE

I love this Treasure Hunt feature - I used to just scroll thru all the pages of the treasuries to see that little blue star of ones I've been included in - and this just cuts to the chase. Its quite nice!

So I guess I'm just nerdy

As a kid of the 80's who can resist such nostalgic geekery? I'M so very tempted to get these awesome Mario Brothers Coasters for myself about about 20 others who'd appreciate this neat find. Pure GOLD! LostMitten's shop is chock full of nerdy goodness that I just love! Go check that out!

Also, we are in the process of doing some more fun reupholstering. a chair ...in some glitter vinyl. Once the hot Mr. of the house refinishes the wood, we'll cover that old thing and make it glorious as it was in its hay day.

Newest Crave : Faux Food

Lately, I don't know why but I've sort of been obsessed with faux food. Its great as kids toys, novelty items, gifts, etc. The best part is being a cool handmade super fun alternative to lead paint doused toxic toys, or even boring old plastic, which carries its own scary baggage (no pun intended). I chose to showcase the Etsy shop of mclean2612 who specializes in Fun Felt Foods. The prices are great too..almost the same price you'd pay for the real thing, except these won't rot and stink up the place.

Featured Etsian:Flirtbuttons

If you're in need of a cute fabric covered pocket mirror, bottle opener, buttons and more, then head on over to Flirtbutton's shop! I just got an adorable mirror from her, which was much needed since the other 2 I got from other shops were broken by my darling child throwing my purse to the ground. I think I'll sew a cute protective case for this new one I ordered...thats a great idea!

Etsy Treasury: Vintage Love!

I finally got a flippin' treasury! I figured since I love vintage so much, I'd dedicate this treasury to it.
And heres the treasury link http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=25738

How to get a simple screenshot: Copy the url for your treasury into thumbalizr (you don't need an account to do it)http://www.thumbalizr.com/and then save the screen shot to your computer. I then edited mine in photoshop.

If you've ever lost your way...

Get a compass and find your way back again! I bought this way neat compass ring from JeweledAbrosia's lovely etsy shop - I came in the mail today. Its a fun thing to have when lost! Its funny how when you get off the red or blue line (the underground ones) and you are completely confused as to which direction you need to go once you come up to the street - at least, thats always my problem. I think I got this ring for that very reason. No more walking miles in the wrong direction for me!

Monday's Featured Item - Ruffles Dress for the Perfect Date

I'm currently coveting this dress from Shezzy on Etsy. Its SO pretty and dainty! I can't wait to lose the rest of this baby weight so I can buy one and - of course - go on a date with Morgan. I really dont care where the date takes place, I just want this dress! Well, I wouldnt want the date to be at the shooting range - not that we frequently have dates there. He can take me somewhere nice, anywhere but Texas Tom's Beefateria, or Cap'n Bigsby's Swashbucklers Trough. Those are a bit too low brow for an ideal date. But is this dress not absolutely beautiful?! Kudos to Shezzy for being a talented seamstress!

Apple Jackets, A love story

When I first saw these at http://jacquelineknits,etsy.com/ I thought "what a cute and logical idea!' When I carry fruit in my bag, its usually just got its skin to protect itself; which means it gets covered in 'purse debris' like make up, poked with bobbi pins, powder, and other random debris lurking in there. It ends up trashed and bruised and I dont want to eat it after that. These are perfect for such occasions. Who doesnt love stylish fruit? Kudos to jacquelineknits for such adorable and fruit jackets - very clever indeed!

Currently Coveting: BoyGirlParty's Etsy Shop

I love stationary. I especially love the stationary...and all cool items...found at boygirlparty.etsy.com. Currently, I want, nay, need these recipe cards. I should just break down and get them but I have about $3.58 left in my paypal, so Im not getting anything til I get more sales. But I love this shop. The shirts, the magnets, everything. Rarely do i find a shop where everything tickles my fancy. Its so fun and unique. But look at these cards, they are adorable and should be in my kitchen right now! Ive been trying to find recipe cards for all the recipes I find on the internet and want to have them written on somthing a bit more functional than a raggety post-it note I found under the desk, or on the back of an old envelope. One day. ONe day i will get these.

Coolest Guy shirt on Etsy

I got my Husband THEE coolest T-shirt called the 4 Wheelmen of the Apocolypse from Metasaurus http://metasaurus.etsy.com/. Wheelmen - not Horsemen - because they're riding bikes. Its hilarious! I love all their shirts! They're the coolest! It was probably his favorite gift I ever got him...and he also likes the vintage belt bucke I found while thrift'n.

Im sure any guy would love this for valentines day - nothing like saying " I Love You" with a shirt with those guys bringing judgement upon the earth!
